All about Me
Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
I began my teaching career in 1997 in elementary education. In 2004, I decided to begin my journey toward becoming a Special Education Intervention Specialist. In 2008, I received my M. Ed as an Intervention Specialist, but my love for technology spurred me to return to school to explore classroom technology.
Working in an inner city school, I began to face the reality so many educators face--big ideas but no money! I began on a quest to find the best free internet resources for my classroom! I discovered that money should not be a barrier to an effective classroom! I began to want to share my ideas with my colleagues, so I began speaking at technology conferences and workshops, including the FETC conference in Orlando, Florida, the TNT conference in North Dakota, and the SOITA conference in Dayton, Ohio.
I taught as an instructor at Wright State University for a year and a half, and then decided to go back to the classroom again. On top of my dedication to my students, I have dedicated my time to training teachers on the use of technology in the classroom, and the many free resources available to them right now! Many teachers have the enthusiasm, but they lack the "know how" to transform their classroom into a technology engaged learning center. My classes and workshops offer teachers the tools to help them bridge the "digital divide" and transform their classrooms!
